This Is Our Classroom - What Does Yours Look Like?

Thankyou to everyone who has visited our blog in the last 24 hours! Today we spent some time reading the comments, watching live activity on the blog, talking about the flags and where everyone was from.

Here are some pictures of our classroom so you get an idea about where we work.

What does your classroom look like? Why not write a blog post (if you have a class blog) including some pictures of your classroom, or link to them in the comments. We would love to see what different classrooms look like around the world.

In The Comments
  • Add a link to a picture you have taken or the blog post you write showing your room.
  • Tell us what you think of our classroom.
  • What is your favourite thing about our classroom or your own?

  1. Is your room always as tidy as this? I have great trouble keeping everything in its place?

  2. Hi there :-) Thank you so much for inviting us into your classroom. I am impressed by the organization and welcoming feeling of your room! I just discovered your blog so I will be returning to check it out. Here is a link to our classroom: a kindergarten classroom in CA.http://www.mrsyoungskinders.weebly.com
Although our learners are younger than you, we can learn from your sharing!

  9. Do you have a carpet area or do you teach your children at their tables? I always have a carpet area, even with Year 6 as inward facing tables can encourage chit chat imo.

  10. Your classroom looks great - very organised. I love the skyscraper display in the background. You must be very proud of it. A lovely place to learn in!

You can find photos of my classroom if you follow the URL linked to my name.

The photos were taken last summer, that is why some of the displays are blank as I had just changed the backing paper ready for term 5.

Would be great to see some photos of classrooms from other countries. Will keep checking your blog.

  11. I would definatly do this if I was in school today. In New Zealand the students are currently on our Summer Holidays and don't start back for another two weeks! So when I take a photograph of the classroom its going to have all the desks and the chairs pilled in the middle! However this is a really clever idea and will definatly pop back when the classroom is up and running! Great idea and nice blog!

I like how bright your classroom is. We haven't any windows and our room is dreary, no matter how much artificial lighting we have.

  13. I love the colors. I was a teacher for a lot of years, but I'm not in the classroom now.

I am from Fort Gratiot, MI. I can see Canada out of my office window.

  14. Such a great working environment, must be a fantastic place to work in each day. I work in a rather boring science lab and am rather an untidy person so i am inspired,

  17. Love the look of your classroom it looks a very inspiring place to work.
I no longer have a classroom as I have changed jobs from a teacher to an ICT advisor, so now have an office. We do have a classroom that we share and invite teachers to come and learn in.

  23. Hello,

We like your classroom! Here are two pictures of ours:

This is what we think about our clasroom:
"It has different places for things"
"There's loads of work put up on the wall"
"There are two rubbish bins we call filing cabinets"
    "It's always really warm"
"We have a piano in the class"
"There is always music on" (note: this is an exaggeration!)
"There are lots of books to read"
"We like sitting in cinema seats!"

  24. Great classroom pictures! I found your blog from the post on Mr. Webb's class blog, Melville Room 8. My classroom is a computer lab and kind of boring to look at so I probably won't be posting pictures, but I do stream live video all day so you can watch my students work. You can find it at NoelTigers.com
